The Political Warfare or "Polwar" College, founded in 1966 in Dalat, was one of the most important military academies of the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces. It offered a 2 year program to train active officers to serve as Polwar cadres starting from company level. The graduates were awarded an Associate's degree in Political Science and the rank of Second Lieutenant. It also provided with short term classes (Basic, Intermediate, Advance) for officers who were serving in Political Warfare offices at all levels. About 1000 officer candidates graduated from this college from 1966 to 1975.

1st class : 1966-1969. 183 candidates were selected from more than 2000 applicants through very tough assessment tests. 168 graduated and were assigned to several infantry divisions as "Chan Troi Moi" campaign began in early 1969. Valedictorian: Huynh Be Em
2nd class: 1968-1971. Of 396 candidates, 386 graduated. Valedictorian: Ho Ngan
3rd class: 1970-1973 with 165 candidates; 159 graduated. Valedictorian: Trieu Duy Toan
4th class: 1972-1975. Of 210 candidates, 199 graduated right at the eve of 30 April event. Valedictorian: La Van Tham
5th class (1974 with 161 candidates) and 6th class (1975 with 129 candidates): Retreated to Saigon when Communist troops overran Dalat in mid-April 1975.
