Biet Dong Quan (BDQ) KBC 4017 This cover was sent from Sergeant (TS or "Trung Si") Bui Hung Cuong, a Ranger (BDQ or Biet Dong Quan). The cover is postmarked May 8, 1972 by a typical Quan Buu military cancel. The manuscript words in the upper left, "Hanh Quan Vuot Bien", meaning "in the field on an operation outside the country" (Cambodia or Laos).
This note inside the cover reads "Tranh Nam lan vi Trung Si Cuong ban hanh quan, Hau Cu de phong bi dum" which roughly translates to "To avoid confusion because Sergeant Cuong is in the operation (in the field), Home Base member please fill up the envelope for him." < Back < Imnaha Stamps Home Original content ©2008 Andrew Crenshaw - All Rights Reserved.
